A Happily Ever After is what Southern Christian Services wishes for Joy Pickering and Scott Crouch this weekend. A future together filled with joy and happiness, and a wonderful wedding day.
Joy Pickering is our East Area Respite Coordinator. Joy is a Covington Co. native but currently resides in Hattiesburg. She is a 2001 William Carey University Alumni with a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish.
Joy has been with SCSCY for over 16 years total. She has been in her current job since May of 2010. Joy states, “I really enjoy working with our families. As a Respite Coordinator, I work to ensure the families are able to receive a short weekend break through a certified Respite Provider. This gives the families time to rest and recharge. I also recruit and license providers to provide these services for families.”
Joy will be getting married this weekend to her best friend and love of her life, Scott Crouch. In Joy’s free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being creative through different outlets (cooking, crafts, painting, event planning), thrift shopping and volunteering in her community. Joy was nominated the past two years for Best of the Pinebelt Award as one of the top volunteers in the area.
