Sonny Fountain Memorial Golf Tournament
Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc. and Fountain Construction Company Inc. are pleased
to announce that the 16th Annual D. G. “Sonny” Fountain Memorial Golf Tournament for Kids will be held Monday,
October 23, 2023 at Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon, Mississippi. Registration begins at 10:30 A.M., lunch will be
served at 11:30 A.M. and tee time will be at 1:00 P.M.
Sonny Fountain Memorial Golf tournament for Kids is named in honor of beloved Jackson businessman and
philanthropist, D.G. “Sonny” Fountain, owner of Fountain Construction Company. Sonny served as the 2nd Board
President of Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc. and was instrumental in laying the foundation for
this ministry. His family continues to support the vulnerable children, youth and families in Mississippi.
Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth serves children, youth and families throughout Mississippi through
adoption and foster care for children and youth with special needs, transitional living services for homeless teens, trauma
counseling for abused and neglected children, group home care for boys who have experienced abuse and/or neglect
and training and technical assistance.
All team sponsorship and entry payments are tax-deductible (less the amount to cover cost of food and greens fees). All
proceeds from this tournament will go directly to support the programs and services of the agency.
