SERVICES
Restoring Hope. Rebuilding Lives. Renewing Families.
At Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, we believe every child deserves safety, healing, and a place to belong. Our comprehensive programs are designed to meet children where they are from residential care and foster placement to counseling, prevention, and adoption support. Through trauma-informed care, faith-based compassion, and evidence-based practices, we help children overcome adversity, equip young adults for independence, and empower parents to build stronger, healthier families.
Residential Care
Our Residential Care Program provides safe, family-style homes for youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or significant behavioral challenges.
Group Homes
Through our Group Homes, children and teens receive compassionate care, stability, and support in a nurturing environment designed to help them heal and grow. We also offer specialized services for girls recovering from exploitation and human trafficking, providing the trauma-informed care and guidance they need to rebuild their lives.
PALS Transitional Youth Living Program
Our P.A.L.S. Transitional Youth Living Program equips young adults ages 18–23 with the tools they need to thrive independently. Through housing, education, job training, and counseling, participants gain life skills and confidence as they transition into adulthood with hope and purpose.
Permanency Program
Our Permanency Services focus on giving every child the opportunity for a stable, loving family.
Foster Care
Through Foster Care, we recruit, train, and support foster families who open their hearts and homes to children separated from their biological families.
Adoption From Foster Care
Our Adoption from Foster Care program helps match children with forever families and provides ongoing training and support to ensure successful placements.
Post Adoption and Respite Care
In addition, our Post-Adoption and Respite Care services offer crisis intervention, support groups, and short-term relief for families - helping them stay strong, connected, and stable while preventing re-entry into foster care.
Prevention Services
Parent Strong
The Parent Strong Prevention Program empowers families before crisis occurs. Through evidence-based parenting classes and one-on-one coaching, we strengthen families, reduce the risk of abuse and neglect, and help prevent children from ever entering foster care. By building parental confidence and healthy relationships, Parent Strong helps families create safe, nurturing homes where children can flourish.
Outpatient Counseling
Sunrise Counseling Clinic
Our Counseling Clinic provides evidence-based trauma therapy and emotional support for children ages 3–23 and their caregivers. Services are offered both in person and statewide through telehealth, making quality mental health care accessible to families wherever they are. Our licensed counselors specialize in helping children heal from trauma, build resilience, and find hope for a brighter future.
