THERAPEUTIC FOSTER CARE
Therapeutic Foster Care is a community-based approach to caring for children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral problems in the least restrictive environment.
Therapeutic Foster Care seeks to combine elements of residential treatment and the foster family environment into a model of foster family-based treatment.
Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc's Adoption Program places children with special needs in permanent homes through adoption.
We believe that every child has the inherent right to the security and stability of a permanent home. For those children who cannot stay with their biological families, permanent ties to new families must be established. Services are provided to both the adoptive parents and the child to establish their new, permanent relationship.
The purpose of this program is to strengthen and support Mississippi adoptive and foster families to insure the safety, permanency, and well-being of the children and youth who are placed with them. We know that no one adopts a child thinking that one-day circumstances become overwhelming. Issues may arise because of trauma the child has suffered and we want to support you during those times.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP HOMES FOR BOYS
Therapeutic group homes provide family style living for children and youth who are unable to remain in their own homes because of abuse, neglect, or serious behavioral or emotional challenges.
