WHAT IS A VIRTUAL HOUSE PARTY?
The virtual house party is a way for you to support Southern Christian Services’ mission in the comfort of your own home. As a sponsor, you will have a prepared meal, beverage of your choice, availability to an online auction, and an online link and/or DVD for the Bottom Line for Kids program. Depending on the level of sponsorship, you will receive an event package the week before that goes along with the virtual house party event. The event package includes a food voucher with specific instructions, a link and/or DVD for the Bottom Line for Kids program, beverages, and a gift provided by Southern Christian Services. Whether you are having an intimate family gathering, a few close friends, or a zoom call, that is completely up to you. Please feel free to launch your virtual house party anytime during September 17, 2020 through September 20, 2020.
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH HANDBID FOR THE ONLINE AUCTION?
We are excited to tell you that our auction is all online this year! Southern Christian Services will be using HANDBID a mobile silent auction platform which allows you to bid from your smartphone.
Step 1: Download the Handbid App from Apple Store or Google Play Store
Step 2: Tap Get Started and Create an Account
Step 3: Select Auction from list and start bidding
***You will also be able to access the online auction through a web browser at URL https://events.handbid.com
ONLINE AUCTION BIDDING TIPS
Handbid will automatically bid for you up to the amount you choose. Select Max Bid and enter what you are willing to spend.
Accept push notifications to receive alerts when you are outbid.
Monitor your winnings and losing bids from your dashboard. Swipe left/right for categories and items. Select the menu (top left) for profile, alerts, and invoices.
Review and pay your invoice from the app when the auction closes
***The online auction will begin September 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. through September 20, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. ALL BIDS WILL END ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2020 AT 9:00 P.M.
WHAT IS A FOOD VOUCHER?
As a sponsor, you have a special meal that Bravo! will prepare for you, that you can pick up any day they are open and stage your very own “event” with friends and family, at the time of YOUR choosing! The menus are based on the size of the sponsorship level you purchased as your fundraising offering. All items will be packed in disposable to-go containers so you can transfer the items to serving dishes at your home. Reheating instructions will be provided where appropriate. A food voucher with the menu will be delivered to your home the week before the event. There will be specific details on how to order and all the arrangements.

As fellow community leaders and patrons, we ask that you celebrate the mission of Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc. serves and equips vulnerable children and youth assisting them in the process of becoming self-sufficient and contributing members of society.
