Meet Molly Hendren, a Respite Coordinator and Permanency Specialist at Southern Christian Services. Molly is originally from Batesville, Mississippi but have lived in the Jackson-Metro area for over 4 years. In Molly's free time, she loves walking her dog, Lexi, at the park, listening to music, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
Molly started working at SCSCY after interning with the Therapeutic Foster Care and Adoption division during her senior year of college at Mississippi State!
Molly states, “I originally wanted to intern with SCSCY because I felt like my personal values aligned with the mission statement and values of the organization. Since being hired and working in the Adoption Permanency Division, it has solidified my belief that SCSCY is a life-changing organization that cares immensely about their employees and the clients we serve.”
On a day to day basis, Molly helps foster and adoptive families get a much-needed break from the daily stresses they may experience while providing care for fostered/adopted children and youth. The respite program allows parents to receive a break by licensing people to be respite care providers and connecting families to these providers, so they know their children/youth are taken care of while they are getting a break.
Molly goes on to say, “My favorite part about SCSCY is the people we have the pleasure of interacting with. I love getting to meet new people and help out in any way I can.”
Molly’s favorite quote is, "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31
Southern Christian Services is blessed to have Molly on the team!
