Let's welcome Brittany Brower to Southern Christian. Brittany is the Director of Residential Care at Joe Rowland Therapeutic Group Home.
Brittany was originally from Grenada, Mississippi where she resides today. Brittany has always known she wanted to be a social worker since age 6. Her mother was a social worker at MDHS, so she was aware of foster care from a very early age. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Mississippi. She has been a social worker since 2006.
As the Director of Residential Care, she oversees the boys group home making sure the boys have a family style living while preparing the boys for either a future foster family, reunification with biological family, or transitional independence. Southern Christian is grateful to have Brittany on the team.
When Brittany is away from the group home, she enjoys spending time with her family. She states, “We are big summer people, so most of our summers are spent on our “surf” boat on a lake somewhere.”
