Let’s welcome Courtney Weathersby to Southern Christian. Courtney is the PALS Community Support Specialist in the Jackson office.
Courtney was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Belhaven University and a certification in Behavior Technician. She plans to continue her education with a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. When we asked Courtney of her future goals, she states, “I hope to develop a program that provides adolescents with disabilities the necessary skills to live independently.”
As the PALS Community Support Specialist, Courtney is the case manager, life coach, and emotional support for our homeless youth. She states, “I am grateful for the position since it allows me the opportunity to assist youth with regaining their confidence and independence. I love helping young adults learn new skills that will allow the doors of opportunity to open for them.”
When not working for Southern Christian, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and taking her dog on long walks.
Courtney’s favorite quote is, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel.” -Maya Angelou
