ONE DAY WORKSHOP: TBRI® Introduction and Empowering
December 18 - December 18, 2017
Sunnybrook Children’s Home, Ridgeland, MS

Presented by: Dr. Amanda R. Howard, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Samford University

This workshop is geared towards caregivers and professionals. It provides an overview of TBRI® and practical tools for:

  1. Helping caregivers see the needs of children who have experienced relationaltrauma.
  2. Helping caregivers do what is necessary to meet those needs in a relationship-basedtrauma-informed way.

TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.
